Set email forwarding for your account

Please be advised before proceeding: Setting forwarding on your account is a stop forward. This means that the email bypasses your student account completely and goes directly into the nominated mailbox you have entered. 
This also means that you are solely responsible for monitoring your email accounts spam/junk folders and filters, as important emails may end up in there. These settings will vary between the providers of the email

accounts you have set the forwarding to, so, it is important to check this frequently.

1. Log into your student mail at NOTE: your student email password is different to the password you use for Blackboard and other UQ services. If you've forgotten your email password, you can generate a new one by following the instructions found here.

2. At the top right corner, click the Cog icon

3. Type 'Forwarding' into the search bar and click 'Forwarding - Forward email to another email address'

4. Check the ' Start Forwarding' option and enter the email address you wish to forward to. You can select to keep a copy of the forwarded message in your Office365 here too. Press the 'Save' button at the top of the screen.

Note: To cancel your existing forward simply follow the same steps as above, just un-check 'Start Forwarding' at Step 4.
