Several users of the new iOS 8 and iOS 8.0.2 have been experiencing higher than usual data usage. This seems to be a common issue for many iOS 8 users globally.

Please take a look at the steps below to help manage data usage.

  1. Settings > Mobile > turn off Data Roaming
  2. Settings > Mobile > under Use Mobile Data for > turn off any Apps that you don’t need to access to when NOT on WiFi.
  3. Settings > iCloud > Documents & Data > turn off Use Mobile Data
  4. Settings > iTunes & App Store > under Automatic Downloads > turn off Music, Apps, Books
  5. Settings > iTunes & App Store > turn of Use Mobile Data
  6. Settings > General > Background App Refresh > turn off any Apps that you don’t want to automatically refresh
  7. Lastly, if you don’t need email notifications constantly pushed to your phone: Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data > turn off Push

Please pass this on to any staff members who may benefit from this information.
